Slide Space 123 is pleased to preview the work of our graduating visual arts majors in conjunction with the MFA Open Studios. Featured senior class artists majoring in Studio Art, Art History and Art & Technology include Carolyn Dorwin, Jodie Barbin, Isabel Einaudi, Ashley Carreon, Lily Drabkin, Roxana Farmer, Amy Farrow, Alexandra Goodenough, Selena Guido, Imani Karpowich Smith, Veronica Yazmin Allen, Gladis Munguia, Karla Navarro, Nicole Rose, Hart Rosenberg, Nai Saeyang, Maya Tillo, Dani Toriumi, and Emily Weiss.
Working in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and video, these student artists apply both traditional and conceptual frameworks to create engaging art that challenges the viewer. This year’s Preview Exhibition speaks strongly of their potential as they work toward graduation and the Senior Thesis Exhibition in the spring.
The Senior Thesis Exhibition provides a unique opportunity for graduating visual arts majors to show their work in a professional art museum setting, often for the first time. The 2018 Thesis Exhibition will be held at the Mills College Art Museum in March of 2018.
Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
